Abstract

Ocean waves are a huge, largely untapped energy resource, and the potential for extractingenergy from waves is considerable. Research in this area is driven by the need to meet renewable energytargets.Butisrelativelyimmaturecomparedtootherrenewableenergytechnologies.Thisreviewintroduces the general status of wave energy and evaluates the device type that represents current waveenergy convertor (WEC) technologies. Here, our project focusing to eliminates the existing limitations ofwave energy converter methods, and also helps the potential of this method for generating electricity andthiscouldbe commonway toproducingelectricity infuture.
